Kia Ora,
Last week, we went to Life Education and learnt about 'what keeps us alive' and the 'body systems'.
Yesterday, we had to observe, sketch and dissect a real kidney and heart. I liked drawing it and eating it.
Today, for writing we created poems about our observation and used our 5 senses to describe the organ we were given. I did an acrostic poem. We started a 9:10 and our deadline was 10 o clock.

Ka kite ano.
Light when lifting.
Awesome sketch when cut open.
Mute, I couldn't hear the kidney doing anything all I could hear was loud girls.
Bloody, raw organ in my hands feels soft and squishy.
Kidneys or other organs scare Mia away.
Inside looks like Earth's core.
Dumb, I didn’t get the first taste.
“No!” Mia yelled, “I’m not going to touch this.”
Eating it I couldn’t wait any longer so I sat down on the mat first and CHOMP!
Yummy kidney melting in my mouth.
