The last two weeks we have been practising persuasive writing for our eastle test which is tommorow 31st October 2017. Here is one that I did.

Introduction - Explain why you are writing/ what you believe in. Have you ever wondered how maths helps people? Art, art is a drawing, painting, paper mache and lots more. Maths is a very helpful thing in your life it helps people in many ways my reasons will tell you more. I personally believe that maths is much better than art my reasons are as follows.

Reason 1 - Write the first reason you have for believing what you said at the beginning. What facts do you know which support this reason?
Firstly, if you’re a builder and you don’t know your maths you will get your measurements wrong and your boss will say “YOUR FIRED!” then you won’t have a job, you will have to look for another one.

Reason 2 - Write the second reason you have for believing what you said at the beginning. What facts do you know which support this reason? Secondly, in college you need your times tables and when you do a test you will think to yourself that's right I wasn’t listening in primary when we got taught math and then you will get the questions wrong.

Reason 3 - Write the third reason you have for believing what you said at the beginning. What facts do you know which support this reason?
Finally, maths teaches you measurement, division, multiplication, addition and so much more and if you like art well how will you know to use a ruler you won’t so I suggest you learn and listen when you are getting taught maths. Why wouldn’t you like maths?

Conclusion - Re -write what you believe again and rewrite a summary of your three reasons to round off your story. Include persuasive language.
So, i’m sure you must agree that maths is more important than art because you won’t get fired if you’re builder or plumber or any job that includes maths, you won’t get as many questions wrong in your tests at college and it teaches you many many things. Come on, people learn your maths it’s very very helpful in your life.
